Another lidar company plans to go public
On April 15, the Korea Economic Daily reported that according to banking industry sources, South Korean lidar startup SOSLab plans to be listed on the primary exchange Kosdaq in May.
The company plans to raise up to 18 billion won ($13 million) by selling 2 million new shares. Given the price range of 7,500 won to 9,000 won, the market capitalization is expected to be between 131.5 billion won and 157.8 billion won (US$95 million to US$114 million).
The listing is led by Korea Investment and Securities Corporation, and SOSLab will assess demand for the shares from institutional investors between April 30 and May 8 to determine the public offering price.
Founded in 2016, SOSLab produces lidar for autonomous driving, industrial robotics and factory automation. The company developed 2D lidar for industrial robots and automation in 2018, and 3D lidar for autonomous driving in 2022. It mainly provides lidar products to domestic chip equipment manufacturers and OEMs, auto parts manufacturers and technology companies.
The company's revenue from 2020 to 2024 is: 950 million won, 1.2 billion won, 2.3 billion won, 4.1 billion won. It is not yet profitable, with an operating loss of 8.3 billion won last year.
Quanergy launches next generation 3D lidar solutions, Q-Track HD and Q-Track Dome
Recently, Quanergy demonstrated two new members of its 3D lidar solution portfolio at the ISC West 2024: Q-Track HD and Q-Track Dome. Quanergy Q-Track’s detection, classification and tracking technology is said to deliver 20 times the accuracy of traditional technology at less than half the cost.
Enzo Signore, CEO of Quanergy Solutions, said: “Quanergy 3D LiDAR solutions are being rapidly adopted to solve long-term challenges in the physical security and smart space markets due to their ability to effectively improve overall security and virtually eliminate costly false alarms.” New Extension The Q-Track portfolio enables airports, enterprises and critical infrastructure to track people and vehicles within every protected area, from perimeter to enclosed interior locations, dramatically improving their safety and operational efficiency. "
Quanergy demonstrated the following 3D lidar solutions:
Q-Track HD
Delivers superior 3D lidar detection, tracking and classification performance in challenging environments such as crowded airports, shopping malls and stores, industrial and manufacturing facilities, and educational and corporate campuses. The Q-Track HD sensor mesh network features a 360° horizontal field of view and a very wide vertical field of view, allowing it to accurately track more than 1,000 people simultaneously, even as they move around obstacles such as queues, columns, shelves, tables, and more.
Q-Track Dome Designed to track and classify people in office buildings, corridors, traps, transportation hubs, and a variety of other smaller, more complex environments. The Q-Track Dome features a 90° vertical field of view while being optimized for dense areas, delivering unparalleled performance and reliability for object tracking and classification and crowd intelligence gathering applications.
Existing products Quanergy Q-Track LR sensors are currently deployed at more than 100 customer sites around the world, including many large data centers, airports, energy substations and water plants. Q-Track LR detects, classifies and tracks people and vehicles over long distances with a single sensor covering an area equivalent to three football fields. Q-Track LR provides a highly accurate and cost-effective proactive solution for perimeter intrusion detection (PID) applications.
This unique new combination of Quanergy 3D LiDAR sensors work seamlessly together when integrated into a single networked system, allowing organizations to track people, vehicles and objects in every protected area, from perimeter to enclosed interior locations. For example, at airports, Quanergy Q-Track can track passengers from arrival curb to gate, effectively helping to increase passenger flow/throughput to help ensure a better passenger experience while improving operational and strategic planning in real time and providing Be prepared for future planning.
In data centers, Quanergy Q-Track can alert security departments to potential vulnerabilities around the property and track all movement within facility corridors, server rooms and racks. Q-Track can be deployed in virtually any configuration, minimizing the number of optical sensors required in the data center while maximizing coverage.
