防窥膜的原理与百叶窗类似，百叶窗通过调整叶片角度阻挡外界视线，防窥膜正是利用百叶窗的原理，将百叶窗的结构缩小上万倍，将光栅间隔控制在0.02-0.1毫米之间，通过并列排布的光栅结构实现控制屏幕可视角度的效果，从而达到防偷窥的目的。
