南京春辉科技实业有限公司成立于1997年，其前身是国家建材局南京玻璃纤维研究设计院第三研究所。早在上世纪七十年代中期，在张耀明院士的带领下，开始研究非通信光纤，是国内较早从事这方面研究的单位之一。经过四十多年的艰苦努力，公司拥有“多组份玻璃光纤”、“石英光纤”、“聚合物光纤”、“液芯光纤”等系列产品和光纤、电子内窥镜等系列产品的规模制造和应用技术。

2013年，南京春辉公司推出耐温型侧发光聚合物光纤，可在-40～105℃温度下使用，其光纤直径在2~10mm之间。目前，耐温型侧发光聚合物光纤已成功应用于凯迪拉克XTS型轿车以及众泰汽车上。
