随着ADAS市场的升级发展,对传感器的探测精度和维度提出了更高的要求。在此背景下,4D成像毫米波雷达应运而生。4D毫米波成像雷达作为传统雷达传感器的技术迭代和创新突破,可以带来感知系统的质变提升。
4D毫米波雷达在3D毫米波雷达感知信息:距离、相对速度、方位基础上,增加对目标高度的探测。相比于3D毫米波雷达,4D毫米波雷达具有天线数量多/密度高、输出的点云图像更致密等特征。依靠4D雷达高密度点云实现前融合,可减少信息损失,提高系统感知鲁棒性。
基于深度学习算法的4D毫米波雷达,知识和规则可自动从海量数据中获取,随着数据不断积累,知识和规则的学习越来越完备:
森思泰克率先开展研发4D毫米波前向雷达。目前已推出两片级联4D成像雷达STA77-6和四片级联4D成像雷达STA77-8,两款产品均已实现量产。通过数量众多的发射和接收通道,实现对4D空间的高分辨成像,满足更高汽车自动化级别的要求。
当前,针对4D毫米波雷达成本略高及性能提升要求等问题,森思泰克正在开发两款采用定制芯片的4D前向雷达产品,计划将于明年Q4实现量产。

两款产品(8T8R前向雷达和16T16R前向雷达)使用定制芯片,采用AI算法,芯片内置定制AI核。在作用距离、速度分辨率以及方位和俯仰向角度精度和分辨率等方面,都较之前的4D雷达产品有了大幅提升。

方案采用波导天线,辐射效率得到很大提升,可以探测更远距离。“4D毫米波雷达+波导天线”加持,可以更好的提升前端性能,FOV及点云质量,提高毫米波雷达的可信度。
