On March 18, 2024, Seyond, a global image-level lidar solution provider, officially announced today that it is cooperating with NVIDIA to integrate Seyond's high-performance lidar solutions into the NVIDIA DriveWorks and Omniverse platforms.

By combining Seyond’s lidar technology and proven large-scale application experience with NVIDIA’s outstanding automotive development solutions, Seyond hopes to promote the design, development and testing of autonomous vehicles. As part of this collaboration, NVIDIA's GPU hardware will work with Seyond's high-performance lidar to enable car companies to quickly and accurately process point cloud data to improve autonomous driving capabilities.

NVIDIA's DriveWorks platform is the foundation for autonomous vehicle software development and deployment, and now NVIDIA will use Seyond's lidar as one of the true-value sensors for its autonomous driving development system. Through this latest integration, developers can use the powerful computing power of the DriveWorks platform to efficiently develop autonomous driving systems and accelerate the integration of Seyond's high-performance lidar into vehicles.

NVIDIA Omniverse is a platform of application programming interfaces (APIs), software development kits (SDKs), and services that enable developers to easily integrate Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) and RTX rendering technology into their 3D applications and in service. Such applications include high-fidelity, physics-based simulation for autonomous vehicle (AV) development.

Seyond's high-performance lidar provides image-level resolution and ultra-long detection range, providing accurate and reliable detection for a variety of applications, including autonomous vehicles.
