On March 19, at the NVIDIA GTC conference, NVIDIA announced that it would join hands with the GAC Aion Haopin brand to mass-produce L4 autonomous vehicles. Haopin's next-generation L4 autonomous vehicle is powered by NVIDIA DRIVE Thor dual chips and will have a computing power of 2000TOPS. It is expected to be mass-produced in 2025.
It is reported that Haopin is a high-end luxury electric vehicle brand created by GAC Aion. Currently, there are three models on sale on the official website, namely Haopin SSR series, Haopin GT series, and Haopin HT series.
Currently, the 3L version of Haopin GT high-end smart driving has been launched, priced at 259,900 yuan. It has been equipped with the hardware required for L3 level autonomous driving: 3 lidars, 12 cameras, 6 millimeter wave radars and 1 infrared night vision camera. Equipped with the MDC610 chip, it has the equivalent of 544TOPS chip computing power.
Regarding the popular model Haopin GT, Xiao Yong, deputy general manager of GAC Aion, once said: "Our goal is to enter the top three in the B-class pure electric sedan market." However, at present, the monthly sales of Haopin GT are still hovering at more than a hundred units. The latest data from the Passenger Car Association shows that the sales of Haopin GT from July to December last year were 2,003, 710, 706, 506, 100 and 435 respectively.
