Recently, Xingyidao and South Korea's Xiaolin Group (DIGEN) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly develop and supply intelligent driving, autonomous driving and development and verification high-precision map (HDMAP) solutions for the global market, including jointly providing OEM (automotive components) Car manufacturers), autonomous driving system companies, and high-precision map service providers provide millimeter-wave radar-based solutions, including positioning and path planning (SLAM) and high-precision map system development and mass production supply, to ensure multiple intelligent driving, autonomous The system plan for the driving and high-precision map projects was successfully implemented.
The cooperation between Digen and Xingyidao began in early 2019. After radar performance and application benchmark comparison tests in different scenarios, ADAS system perception sensor fusion tests, and AEB system tests, the ADAS partnership was confirmed.
In this cooperation, Xingyidao and Digen jointly carry out system development for several OEM projects, including Korean and international passenger car and electric vehicle brands. Xingyidao provides 77GHz medium-range and short-range 3D and 4D frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) millimeter wave radars and synthetic aperture imaging (SAR) radars. The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement clearly increases the cooperation between the two parties on advanced projects such as L2+ intelligent driving, autonomous driving (robotaxi and logistics vehicles), and high-precision map collection.

Autonomous driving requires higher-precision maps (high-precision maps) to support vehicle navigation. The collection of conventional high-precision maps requires expensive surveying and mapping systems, and it is difficult to support high accuracy and high update frequency at the same time. The SLAM system based on millimeter-wave imaging radar will greatly reduce the hardware cost of environmental perception and mapping equipment, and will help realize crowdsourcing of high-precision maps and large-scale mass production of autonomous driving systems. The autonomous driving system jointly developed by Digen and Xingyidao mainly includes an autonomous driving and high-precision map perception system based on the fusion of imaging radar and camera data. Autonomous driving and map perception systems based on multi-sensor imaging-level data fusion can better optimize the data structure and processing efficiency of environmental perception and modeling, provide basic data with strong real-time performance and controllable cost for SLAM and HDMAP systems, and become a An important support for realizing autonomous driving.
Millimeter-wave imaging radar stably outputs high-density point cloud target position, target relative speed, target tracking data, target identification, TOS (target selection) data to the fusion electronic control unit (ECU), or integrates the fusion ECU as the main sensor to fuse the data from Data from cameras, steering angle sensors, inertial navigation, yaw sensors, the vehicle, etc. are used to evaluate and report environmental position and changes. Xingyidao will provide 4D millimeter-wave imaging radar, SAR imaging radar and imaging radar-based SLAM basic system hardware and software algorithms to achieve the performance of internationally leading radar products, and work closely with Digen, a Korean automotive chassis and ADAS system supplier. The two companies have joined forces to produce and supply intelligent driving and autonomous driving systems with superior performance for the global market, and develop and verify new high-precision map collection methods.
Mr. Zhang, chairman of Xiaolin Group (Digen), said, "Digen and Xingyidao have interacted with each other for many years. Xingyidao's forward radar performed well in South Korea's AEB test in 2020. Starting from the end of 2023, the two parties will work on 4D imaging radar and The SAR radar conducted a path planning test and evaluation, and selected an international autonomous driving customer and Xingdao's 4D imaging and SAR imaging radar for technical demonstration to jointly explore the performance of millimeter wave imaging radar in positioning, data collection, and map stitching. The performance of Xingyidao Technology's SAR radar and 4D imaging radar confirms its excellent technology development capabilities and forward-looking technology layout. In the cooperation with Xingyidao, Xingyidao's continuously improving technical level, product performance that surpasses its peers, and perseverance and truth-seeking work style are in line with Digen's expectations for partners. We look forward to continuing to deepen our cooperation with Xingyidao! "
Dr. Zhao Jie, founder, chairman and CTO of Xingyidao, is very confident in cooperating with Digen. “As a parts supplier for international and Chinese first-tier OEM vehicle brands, Digen has good long-term partnerships with international and Chinese OEM brands. . By cooperating with a senior international Tier 1 such as Digen, Xingyidao can broaden its horizons, expand the Korean and international markets, and realize the widespread application of millimeter wave radar in vehicles. We are very confident that working with Digen to gain access to the Chinese and international automotive markets success!"
