Volkswagen said that in the era of intelligent connected cars, it will further focus on and meet the needs of Chinese customers with a deeper localization layout and a strong new energy vehicle product lineup.
According to the official introduction, Volkswagen has entered the Chinese market for 40 years and has 39 factories, more than 35,000 dealers, and approximately 50 million Chinese car owners. Group brands such as Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Skoda, Bentley and Lamborghini sell a total of about 160 models in China, and the Ducati brand also sells ten motorcycle models in the Chinese market.
Volkswagen announced that the Volkswagen brand model jointly developed with Xpeng Motors is a medium-sized SUV, and the first car is planned to be put into production in 2026; in addition, by 2030, more than 30 pure electric models will be available.
