The CV3 exhibited by Ambarella is a high-computing AI domain control chip using a 5-nanometer automotive standard process. The CV3 series has several chips with different computing power for customers to choose from, including CV3-AD635,CV3-AD655 和 CV3-AD685. In this series, the CV3 single chip can support high-speed mapless NOA, urban point-to-point memory driving, urban NOA, and higher-level L3-L4 autonomous driving. Ambarella has carried out a platform-based design for the CV3 series of chips to meet the differentiated needs of customers in terms of computing power and solutions for products with different positionings. It can provide a complete series of smart driving domain control solutions, ranging from "mapless" high-speed NOA ( CV3-AD635) to "mapless" urban area NOA (CV3-AD655), and finally to "mapless" L3 and higher-level autonomous driving solutions (CV3-AD685).
It can cover higher-end autonomous driving solutions at L3 and above. It can support multi-modal large language models + end-to-end autonomous driving on a single chip. CV3-AD685 can process 24 x cameras + 5 x millimeter wave radar + Aoku central domain control radar + 3 x lidar (optional) in real time. At the algorithm application level, CV3-AD685 can support BEV+Transformer+pre-fusion+control without the need for high-precision maps.
Can cover urban areas NOA + AVP solution, it can process 12 x cameras + 5 x millimeter wave radar + 3 x lidar (optional) in real time. At the algorithm application level, CV3-AD655 can support BEV+Transformer+Occupancy+front fusion, And there is no need for high-precision maps and high-precision positioning. The CV3-AD655 chip consumes less than 30 watts.
It can cover high-speed NOA + memory driving + HPA solutions. It can process 7 x cameras + 5 x millimeter wave radars in real time, and can run BEV + Transformer + front fusion without high-precision maps and high-precision positioning. The CV3-AD635 chip has ultra-low power consumption, does not require a fan, and can be passively cooled.
This time, Ambarella also brought an omnidirectional (360-degree) demonstration and real vehicle display of the central domain control 4D imaging radar based on CV3.The 5R radar generates millions of dense point clouds per second, which is similar to the imaging effect of high-line lidar. The single-chip imaging radar can reach the 4-cascade radar index. The horizontal and vertical angular resolution of the front radar is within 1 degree. The original data of the 4D radar It can be deeply integrated with camera raw data to support radar sensing for L2+ to L4 autonomous driving.
The extremely cost-effective CV72AQ with integrated full-time parking will be released for the Chinese market during the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show. It has already made good market progress. At this Beijing Auto Show, not only the mass-produced front-view ADAS products based on CV72 will be displayed, but also the full-time parking and parking integrated products of partners will be displayed.
