Recently, the China division of Bosch's Intelligent Driving and Control Systems business unit successfully delivered the third-generation multi-functional camera evo version for the Changan Deep Blue G318 model customer project. The project was led by a local engineering team and achieved mass production in just five and a half months.
The project is not only the first of its kind globally for Bosch's Intelligent Driving and Control Systems business unit but also Changan Deep Blue's first mass-produced project based on the third-generation multi-functional camera evo version. It is a 1R1V (single camera single radar) project that enables SAE L2-level automated driving assistance functions, including Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Integrated Adaptive Cruise (ICA), and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA). The third-generation multi-functional camera evo version also features speed bump recognition to support Changan Deep Blue's air suspension configuration with the "Active Magic Carpet" function. This means the camera can detect road undulations, and the suspension system actively adjusts the stiffness of the suspension, enhancing comfort when the vehicle goes over speed bumps. In the future, both parties will continue to deepen their cooperation, jointly promote the innovation and development of intelligent driving technology, and provide end consumers with a safer and more comfortable travel experience.
Bosch's Third-Generation Multi-Functional Camera evo Version
The third-generation multi-functional camera evo version integrates artificial intelligence technology and new image processing algorithms, supporting the recognition of lane lines, targets, and other traffic participants over a greater range. Its AI computing power is four times that of the previous generation, with a focus on optimizing perception for local Chinese scenarios, significantly improving the recognition rate of stationary objects and irregular vehicles. The robustness of the perception algorithms has been enhanced in harsh weather and low-light conditions. Based on Bosch's global data accumulation, the third-generation multi-functional camera evo version can recognize traffic signs, road conditions, and traffic participants in more than fifty countries. Its functional safety and cybersecurity designs meet global market requirements, providing customers with safe and reliable ADAS functions, supporting the international expansion strategies of local automakers.
